Road Closures

We realize that there are so many road closures coming from so many sources out there, that it is very difficult to figure out what is open. A group of volunteers have added all DOT and major metro area road closure information here. Please help us keep this a current resource by sending specific additions, changes and suggestions to roadclosures@2008flood.org.

Travelers are reminded to avoid flooded areas so emergency vehicles and equipment can be mobilized to the impacted areas. Due to congestion on remaining available roads, Iowans are asked to postpone any unnecessary trips.

Key:
Red = complete road closure
Pink = partial closure/ restricted traffic
Dark red/brown = need more detailed information
